Reactions because I need to think aloud somewhere

First episode I've watched live all year. And man have I missed Cas (and Misha). I loved 99.9% of it. I can't be wholly satisfied with the ending only because I hate that Cas is locked inside his own mind with Lucifer and apparently put on the shelf for now.

That being said though, the fact that Meg (whom I still loathe) is staying with him suggests that he won't be put on the shelf indefinitely. So glass half full there. I loved Dean's rage and Cas Emanuel's telling of Dean that he's allowed to feel that way. And though it wasn't said, I feel like Dean has at least started toward forgiving Cas. Just thinking out loud here, but possibly Dean was holding onto the anger and not forgiving because it was easier than grieving for yet another person he loved. And now that Cas is back he can truly begin to let that go. Not advocating instant forgiveness here, just a start down the road.

Of course now I eagerly await all the fic this will inspire and desperately long for the new Redemption Road episode so I can get my fill of Dean and Cas together and as happy as they can make each other under the circumstances.

In summary - I have missed Cas desperately. This was the best episode all season! ♥ ♥ ♥
