Everyone should have a nephew

Let me tell you why.
1 - Nephew spent the night Friday. On the way home from work, I called home to see if anyone needed anything. When nephew asked what I was doing, I said, "Coming home to you." To which the love of my life answered, "Oh, thank you, Auntie. You're awesome!" As if this was, indeed, the best present anyone had ever gotten - ever.
2 - Saturday morning, when my Mom ran to Hardees to get breakfast I found nephew sitting on the kitchen floor with the dogs comforting them. "I know you miss Grandma, but she'll be back. And Auntie and I are here."
3 - Before returning nephew to his mother, I told him he could play a computer game. He wanted to play 'the spikey one'. I told him I had no idea what that was, and I'm a bad auntie. Nephews response? "No you're not. You're a beautiful Auntie." I have no idea what the connection is, but it's good for the ego anyway.
Also, saw Star Trek at the drive-in last night with Wolverine: Origins as the second feature. ST is just as good the second time around. ♥ And Wolverine...well, it does what it says on the box.

Date: 2009-05-18 03:58 am (UTC)that double feature at the drive-in sounds pretty spectacular, even considering the unfairness of lining up ST with wolverine. also, hi. :)
